Things that go bump in the night...
Bump is a bit of an understatement.
I only had the car for 11days, made an unwise choice, overtook then slammed into an oncoming car.
That was a 60 - 60 smash and they car did pretty well. The other driver walked away but they had to pop open my door, remove my stupid ass and rush me to hospital.
I'm ok now and have got another - lesson learnt.
Re: Things that go bump in the night...
ouch.....
Glad you're ok - that's one tough way to learn a lesson...
I'm glad to hear the other driver was ok too...

I think you can count yourself very very fortunate that nobody was seriously injured or killed.
Leason learned I think...

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
whats the crack with the poll - it was a driving experiance wasnt it?
Re: Things that go bump in the night...
Maybe stacking it into an oncoming vehicle whilst overtaking is being deemed 'stupid' rather than 'great' by the majority.
Anyway, I'm sure you don't need telling that you goofed up bigstyle - I for one have sympathy for you..

In which part of my post do i say that it is great? quite the opp really. It should be more of a warning to people to take care on roads they do not know and also wear their seatbelts
I am lucky to be alive after what happened and we all make mistakes, in 7 years of driving that is the first accident i have had and would consider myself as a good driver.

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
I think the poll is automatic in this section so dont take any notice of it. As you've said you're lucky to be alive and thats all that counts after all. Hopefully this thread will remind those who are new to MR2's and especially those who are new to driving that they arn't invincible on the road. I think this is a good post to point to for all those people who post on the forum wanting to buy an MR2 but are inexperienced with powerful cars.
Glad you're safe, a car is just a car in the end (even if it is a beautiful rev 3 mr2 ) Live and learn eh!

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
ok - i stand corrected on the poll
As for the MR2 - it wasnt my first and i have owned some silly powered cars - it just shows that split second decisions can all end in tears

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
shame, looked like a nice motor, one less rev3 tubby around for me to buy
glad your ok tho, it could have been a lot worse, still, your alive to tell the tale and share your experience.
hope you have better luck in your new 2 mate

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
Damage looks VERY light for a 120mph impact Looks only slightly worse than my Celica from a 50(ish)mph smack.
Still, the fact that you're still alive is a good thing, and more importantly - that the other party walked away from it too.

Re: Things that go bump in the night...
Sad to see that, Glad your alright though. I had the same thing happen to me in my EVO ast year, head on with a truck. about 50mph. Wrote the car off.. I know its prob not the best time to ask but can i buy the centre caps off you from your wheels?
Re: Things that go bump in the night...
At least you can get some of your car cash back by flogging the back end to the people at twobrutal. Get another tubby, gotta get back on the horse. Glad you are ok.
