Window adjusting

Post by adam maclean »

I swapped my drivers door yesterday due to a bit of rot. After f@*king about refitting the glass for ages the glass is still not sitting right. It's a little too far away from the door frame when closed. Is there any way to adust them? ](*,)

The black strip on top of the door has 2 'brushes' riveted to it, are yours missing? This will prevent the door from being 'forced in' and you will hear a lot of passing traffic noise when driving

Do you mean soft brushes that can be removed to get the glass out? If so they are there. Bu the one nearest the rear of the car doesn't sit flush against the glass anymore.

no I mean the rubber black strip at the top of the door, it runs the whole length of the door to the wing mirror. You will probably find the brushes in the bottom of the door. I did a 'how to' fix this using your broken brushes, intead of paying £110 a side to replace them
