Hi guys and girls,
I have only been a member since September last year so am still fairly new to all this, but I was just wondering if there are ever any meets in my area of the country (south west)???
Would be nice to meet some of you and I see that there are some other members in and around this area

Would really love to hear from anyone who organises or has taken part in any meets in the south west
If there is no-one then I would like to hear from any members that would be interested in taking part in some meets in the south west

Re: Meets in the south west?
Come on guys, there has to be more members that would be up for some car meets in the south west
Re: Meets in the south west?
Best thing to do is start a meet.
I resurrected the Guildford Meet a few years ago and we had only 6 cars sometimes, but had over 26 for the monthly meet once.
If you start it, it will be small to begin with but will grow.
Best format (in my experience) is a static meet, followed by drive to pub for food.

I am going to live forever, or die trying!

I would be up for that, I just wanted to make sure that there were no meets already organised, I wouldnt want to step on anyones toes
I will maybe wait untill the weather is a bit better and then put up a post and see what kind of responce I get. Is it ok to just post up for a new meet though or do I need some kind of permission from someone
Re: Meets in the south west?
I know a couple other owners in the area- I'll start spreading the word and see if anyone's interested...pub food always sounds good

Hi Ashman, sounds like a plan, would really love to get a regular meet going for the south west
There are some really great pubs in and around this area that serve fantastic pub grub, lets hope that we can get more people interested
Keep me posted Ashman

Hey
Sorry- not a huge response from the couple of people I talked to...too busy doing other stuff
And I can't drive for at least the next 2 months- just recovering from surgery on my shoulder....but I'd still be interested in coming along if me other half will agree to drive my car

Hey
Have you seen this:

If any one is still interested in a SW meet, there is one being planned, would be good to have a meet up down here.

Re: Meets in the south west?
yeah i am trying to get one started, central SW is better as its still quite a distance for anyone in cornwall.
an en-masse road trip to paignton / torquay for fish and chips by the seaside would be really cool
