[Mk2] [Turbo] What gasket set for rev1 block and rev2 head ?

Post by Eksterminator »

MR2

I have MR2 N/A converted to rev. 2 turbo, and seized bottom end and gearbox shift and select assembly.

I just bought a donor car - complete rear clip - 1992 Turbo, and I was thinking that 1992 should be rev 2 engine, but the exhaust manifold have 7 studs so I assume that it is rev 1... Am I right ??

Finally my plan is to put rev 2 head on rev1 block.

Is there any internal difference between rev 1 and rev2 engine blocks ?
Will rev 2 main gasket fit properly between rev1 block and rev2 head ?

Use turbo box with the turbo engine
No differences in blocks or heads from rev 1 and 2.
Head gasket and all others fit too. But use a rev 3 head gasket as they are much stronger.
