Help wanted

Post by StealthyGecko »

I know this is really short notice but I was wondering if there is anyone in the West Yorks area available on Saturday to help me fit my Rev 4 NA engine?

as i say I know its really short notice but I've been semi let down by the people who were meant to be helping as they have prior work commitments however I have been given the keys to my friends lockup where the car and engine are so have access to (almost (no engine crane, but two jacks and a xxxx load of straps and ropes)) all the tools necessary to do it, I just don't have the man power and it needs to be done and out of his lock up this saturday, as I say it is really short notice so completely understand if nobody can help, but figured it was worth a try anyway.

TIA

You can manage it on your own if all else fails. I've just installed the engine in my car using jacks. I jacked the cam belt end first attaching the engine mount.....then attached the gearbox and jacked the box up before securing the mount on that side.....easy!

Seriously, it would've been a lot easier and safer with more than one person and a lot quicker....but with care it can be done...

If I'd been closer I would've given you a hand but unfortunately I'm way down south!

Regards

okay I know I said this was going ahead last weekend but due to things getting cancelled at the last minute its now DEFINITELY going ahead this weekend, but as everyone who offered help last week are working this weekend I am once again issuing a very serious request for help

Time: early Saturday Morning
Place: a Lockup in Bradford, Yorks (will pm the actual address if i get any offers)
job: to help fit a Rev 4 N/A engine in a Rev 2 shell

I am pretty sure I know what I'm doing but would be much happier with help as I know things will get done much much quicker

so is there anyone out there who can help?

pleeeeeeeasssssssseeeeeeeeeeee
