[Mk2] [Generic] Door speaker sizes. Just need to clear this up!

I need to replace all the speakers in my mr2, so i shall start with the doors. I would like a nice set of components that have a good range and that fit with minimal hassle.

Will a 6 1/2" component fit in the door? Do i also have to worry about mounting depth?

I am thinking of going for Type-R Alpines as they will compliment the Type-r sub, alpine head unit and MRD amp that i have for it, however thats not set in stone as you cannot see the speakers in the doors so brand wont really make much difference.

If i want 6 1/2 (17cm) components in the door then do i simply need to make up some MDF adapters, fit then put the door card back on? or am i going to have to start chopping things about!!?

Yes 6.5" components will fit with mdf adaptors (I have used 20mm) and then trimming the plastic inside the door trim this link shows what I mean http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source ... -emWigGcnw
