block connectors

My car has been having idle problems since head rebuild but never been able to source the problem.

Someone has used spade connectors to replace a block connector. I have replacement block from a breakers, just taken bits off to solder it back on and fund another one that’s unplugged and melted.
I’m getting a lift back to the scrappy to get the other block,

These are the green and grey blocks just under the throttle, look like they monitor the coolant system.

Could this be causing my engine idle probs?

Yes!
The Idle Control Valve is on the underside of the throttle, and needs to be working for a smooth idle.

The TPS throttle position sensor also needs to be fully working and correctly adjusted if it has be moved/removed/replaced, as there is a switch contained in this that tells the ECU that the throttle is off/closed and the ecu will then know it needs to be in IDLE mode and operate the afore mentioned idle control valve. If the TPS is not adjusted correctly then this switch sometimes does not make contact and hence affect idle.

i have changed the full throttle body and TPS ICV,

just replaced both the green grey sencers and put blck connectors on them

hopefully this will make her idle

Did you test the replacement ICV and TPS and set the TPS using an ohmmeter and feeler gauges (as per big green book)?
