faulty Speedo

just driving arround 40mph, and the speedo needle just went down to 0 and the tacco has also stopped!! cry

any ideas what could have gone wrong or how to fault find.

Look at the speedo plug on the gearbox, maybe a broked wire or the speedo drive.
We ALL make mistakes !!! :)

thanks for the feed back foxt

where abouts on the box do i look for it. ive never seen round the mr2 box before.

Stand by the fuses on the passenger side, look down at the gearbox and the plug you should be looking for is towards the back of the engine bay.

It may be easier to remove once its jacked up and you crawl underneath to get to the bolt.

nice one.

there is couple in the air at a breakers in town, so will look on one of those and get the bits. im guessing its going to be like a pin drive with a sencer on the top.. bit like the old astra GTE
