Rev3 Tbar UK N/a - Repaired and asking for valuation

Post by Hou »

Gonna try selling this before I start breaking it!

I regret selling it as I adore this car, such a pleasure to drive and do not want to break it. If broken it would fetch far in excess of what I am asking - The rear lights with centre panel fetch £150 on their own

Red 1994 uk spec Tbar MR2
Manual
Rev3
135k on the clock although receipt to show replaced engine few years back
Lots of service history
2 Months MOT
No tax
Electric windows
Removable Tbar roof

Good bits:
Bodywork in very good condition and is RED not pink (may even machine polish it for you if I get chance)
White Evo Enkies 16inch 205 front tyres, 225 rears with 2 spare tyres
Lowered on unknown springs
recent new front drop links, thermostat, rad cap, spare oil filter and oil
No leaking from Tbar
Full set of spare 16 fto alloys with various tyres, ideal for track
Barely done any miles in the 9 months of owning it
Standard premium sound system (6 speakers and 2 subs, sounds amazing but not silly)
All electrics work
Alarm and imobilisor (with remote c/locking)

Bad bits:
Slight blowing from the exhaust (attempted repair)
This car suffered with a blown head Gasket. This has been replaced and the head skimmed but since putting back together it won't start, could be something as simple as the ignition timing being out but as I have now moved house and lost the luxury of a garage I cannot look at it. So bare in mind will need towing away.
Drivers seat bolster worn through but comes with spare replacement leather seat material (remove old leather and put new on)
Some small rust patches around the windscreen but all solid
Crap at the bottom corner of the windscreen but is solid and does not effect MOT

Location: Leeds, W.Yorks
Price: £900 or sensible offers (would part ex with something Jap)

Replaced the HG and put back together but wont start, thinking it might be either the ignition timing or the cambelt timing

Don't have the time or expert skills to properly time it up, and it is barely needed. Plus moved house now so no longer have that nice garage which I miss big time!

Dont really want to break it, would rahter someone kept it on the road. if it was running t would fly through the MOT :(

Sbits aint far from you matey, over in Barnsley. Worth trailering it over there? Such a tidy motor. Would be a shame to break it! :(

Right the car was all sorted by SBITS and going to tax and test it.

What would it be worth now to sell on? was in a bit of a crash last week (when I say a bit the car was rear ended by a guy doing 50 while we were stationary) and have a bit extra cash, plus need a bigger car

I will have sorted the drivers seat wear and the exhaust before the MOT which is due in a month

To get a realistic valuation, look at what other people have for sale and pitch it accordingly.

Theres rev3's on ebay at the moment for £850, £1100, £1300 & £1500 amounts others.

I'd say £1400 and expect to get knocked down a little, but advertise the fact its had a recent HG, I assume you got them to put a new cam belt, tensiors and water pump? Things like that would allow you to hold out for the full asking price as theres little or no chance that the new owner will have problems with the engine.
We ALL make mistakes !!! :)

No new cambelts or anything as these have done about 20k, but new HG and related inlet, exhaust etc gaskets. Plus SBITS changed the oil filter and coolent for genuine toyota items

Will stick a fresh ticket on it then and se what it fetches
