[Mk2] [Turbo] Spring and bush options.

Post by adam maclean »

Replacing the worn black billies for some Yellow ones. Going to do the springs to. I don't want Tien as had them on the last car and found them too harsh And do want to keep the cost down. Looking at Apex ones but not finding many recent opinions as to how good they fit, build quality and ride.

Also replacing the bushes. But I cant find many places selling a full kit. fensport do the full superpro kit but its out of stock. Any one know of another? Possibly cheaper?

£113 it says in my garage so that must have been it. Prothane. No probs to report and improved steering and response. Feels tighter all over but especially in the middle of the steering. Oddly I'd say the ride is v v slightly better too though surely that's wishful thinking.

TRD Springs, are nice for a street car although I dont know if they are available anymore. I got mine from an e-bay store in the us, if not i'd go eibach or H&R, apparently swift make a nice set also but you'd be importing them from japan.

Be careful with TRD I have a second hand set of TRD Springs (when I get round to removing them) but there are two types street and track... If you get the track type like mine they are very hard.

Where they white? Because TRD do gymkhana springs that are meant to be very stiff.

You'll need to find the part numbers for the TRD springs, the fronts are same in both sets and the rears are either hard or soft.
