[Mk2] [Generic] will mk3 and Celica gen 7 double dins work?

Post by ryan »

... in a Mk2 MR2?
Im sure the gen7 in dash cd changer didnt have an amp within the unit?
There are also MP3 double din Toyota in dash units, though most seem to be in USA. I really want to keep stock look of my 1997 double din, but would prefer it to have a 6 disc changer incorporated in the unit.. :?

Not sure about the units they put into facelift gen7's.
But the Sony units that went into late gen6's and pre-facelift gen7's should work no problem.

This is the one that should fit no problem.

The one you describe must be from a facelift Celica, and 'Toyota' branded, so likely has plugs on it that plug directly into the cars loom - which is likely different to the MR2 loom.
