[Mk2] [Generic] polybushes - a complete kit or not?

having looked at the diagram below it seems there is no provision for the tie bars (if thats what they are called) that go from the rear subframe to the hub (the ones at the bak that you can see from underneath the rear of the car), they have included the ones that link up at a right angle to the bar that goes the front of the car, but not the one im on about, this diagram was taken from the powerflex website, are all kits like this or not?




they way i see it is if im going to do this i want to be changing all of them.

It's not possible the get the sleeve out the middle, hence no bush for it

the hi and tight red kit is better than the powerflex imo

as part of my v6 rev4 swap i noticed that these subframe to hub rods are able to twist a little when its all bolted up - is this a sign that they need changing, they seemed to give a little too much to be normal

what rods do you mean? each side theres a track rod and a solid rod to the balljoint (think this is called the tie rod?)

the track rods do twist quite freely. so long as theres no sign of wear/damage and no horizontal/vertical movement then its fine.

must be the track rod / control rod then, these are allowed to twist.

Have you checked out what Rogue do? I was talking about full poly bush sets with them and they offered an equivalent to Superflex for allot less. I can't comment on how they fit -they fitted them alog with allot of stuff but the cost was allot less than Powerflex bushes and 3 years on I got no complaints. I know you "don't get owt for owt" but they're still good now.

yeah the pillow ball ones are better than poly bush ones (as long as they are in ok condition)
the GT4 uses a similar joint and although it isnt sold separately for the GT4 it is available for the supra which happens to be the same, i just cant for the life of me remember the part number or which year supra

Does this High & Tight kit contain all the bushings needed for a Rev 2 MR2?

Am I right in thinking that the Sway bar is the ARB, and if I use the Whiteline ARB, I won't need these?

Also, apparently the Whitelines come with 20mm bushings, will that fit on my rev 2, or do I need 19mm (and not use teh Whiteline ones)?

The whiteline arb is 20mm in diameter, which is the dimension refered to.

So you'd have a swaybar of 20mm thickness and a bush with a hole to hold a 20mm swaybar.

The whiteline arb kit should just bolt on with the kit provided.

I don't know if they are supplied with grease though.

Camskill is out of stock until Feb they say. I tried to order one last night.

Ahh, I getcha, I thought the measurement was the OD of the bush, and that there was some sort of collar specific to the year of car

Also - I presume rev 2 onwards are all the same?
Or were there differences in bushings between rev 2 and 3?
