I wandered outside this morning to find someone has decided to leave their mark on my car.
Can anyone recommend any places in the Brighton area that could repair this.
Cheers,
Steve.

Re: Car's been damaged :(
you'd be better off trying to find a replacement door and wing in your colour, that would sort it out for around £50
Re: Car's been damaged :(
+1 yeah it'd be cheaper than a bodyshop which would want a few hundred

Fair enough. Time to hit the breakers yards methinks, or at least get on the phone to them.
What was the rev4 blue called? I can never remember.

Re: Car's been damaged :(
Little update. I came back to the car today and noticed an envelope on the window. Basically the person that hit the car had come back and left their insurance details, so I shouldn't need to payout anything to get this sorted it seems.

Nice one Steve and good on the other person for being so honest.stevemilton wrote:Little update. I came back to the car today and noticed an envelope on the window. You'll find it doesn't happen too often.
Re: Car's been damaged :(
I was going to say I hope you phoned the police first and got an incident number anyway -in any case, calling cards aren't given out that often so well done. Hold out for a perfect job -don't put up with anything less than it was before mate.
Re: Car's been damaged :(
Good luck finding any Azure Blue panels, it's a very rare colour I'd try and get a cash settlement out of the insurers rather than a repair (they'll write off an MR2 in seconds - trust me) & wait for an Azure Blue to be broken by the more popular breakers (mr2ben, mr2bitz etc). Car will be fine to drive around until one comes up.

there is a few videos knocking around youtube. Heat the panel up with a hairdryer for a few mins, then spray it with cO2 and it pops out

Re: Car's been damaged :(
Well got the car back the other day. The garage delivered it back while I was at work. I've not really had a chance to really look it over yet, as the snow came down the same night.
With a brief inspection it looks like a not too bad job. Colour seems to match, and can't see any sign of the impact. Hopefully the weather will warm up, or at the very least defrost, at somepoint, so I can look at it in daylight while it's not wet or covered in snow.

I have a soft dent in the back passenger quarter just in front of the vent, I'll give this a try but is there anyway I can get hold of CO2 in small quantities such as an aerosol?
Sorry to hijack the thread Steve but made up for you that the job has been done without any cost to you.
