Medal of honour thread

Post by cartledge_uk »

So who is playing it/got it?

No one has posted on it yet so I guess those that have it are transfixed.

I'm currently waiting for mine to download through steam (pc version).

Is it any good?

Bought it last night just after midnight in tescos, raced home and started playin.............................
it's pants it aint no modern warfare, game consisted of constantly kicking in doors and moving through buildings one after the other.
Enemy respawn was dodgy and unless you move up they keep respawning, shades of cod5 here.

Graphics are ok, same controls as modern warfare and knifing but it's not a patch on it.

multiplayer?
had a quick go was nothing special and again it aint no modern warefare.

i'm dissapointed £37.99 i got the limited edition which comes with a HD remastered version of medal of honour frontline as well.

don't buy this wait for black ops

it's alright but it's like a poor MW2 copy, you get to chose from 3 preset classes sniper, rifleman or spec ops.

you play as opfor ak47 rpgs etc or the coalition m16 m4 etc

i only played 1 team deathmatch but it was enough [-(

it's alright but against the MW benchmark it's way short. Granted it's medal of honour but it just seemed to be run to the next door kick it in kill 5 enemy then run to the next door etc etc

i got to the 3rd level where you have to ride a quad bike in the dark then turned it off.

I'll pick up where i left off later and give it another go but i just was'nt feelin it man

my firend bought it me on monday and its pretty good, its not the worlds best game but to be fair mw2 got boring after a little over a month. sll fps' are the same now we need something new lol.
but yeah it aint too bad the online is pretty solid people die when you shoot them not seen much lag great quality mics (ps3 atleast) only a few maps and modes but dice are usually quite good with updates so there should be alot more to come.

Argos have it for £34.99

Been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 recently, and whilst the online multiplayer isn't a patch on MW or MW2 - the single player if much much better :thumleft:

Medal of Honour though, dunno...yet

Disagree completely there. Although because I found them so different I wouldn't wish to compare them directly.

Anyway, Medal of Honour (Honor!! ffs)...
Here's my comparisions (although it's only based on a couple of hours of play with MoH):
MW2 single player 80% multiplayer 95%
BC2 single player 95% multiplayer 80%
MoH single player 65% multiplayer 65%

May change with more play though
Single player just wasn't polished enough.
Multiplayer was like BC2 but they've tried to make more arcadey like MW2.

Have you reached the level that starts off with troops being transported by Chinooks? Then fighting the Taliban in the mountains, then being the gunner of the Apache.

Impressive :thumleft:

Overblown cr@p.

From what I've seen, the only time you're the Taliban is in multiplayer.

Exactly the same way you were randomly put on the side of the Germans or Japanese in CoD5.

they were different yeah but mw2 is full of campers, noob tubers glitchers and stupidly easy high kill streaks.
bf2 had great game modes, great comms barely any campers because of the game modes cant think of any glitches and the sniping is rewarding lol
overall a much better game

If your comparing it to MW2, then it isnt as good to put it bluntly.

But as a game in its own right, forgetting any other FPS that may or maynot be out, its ok. I'm glad I bought it (pc version is only £30), but cant see me playing much of it after 2 weeks time.

Considerably better than COD WAW though.

So if your undecided of getting this or another game, and want longivity. go with the other one. If you just want a different game of mindless violence for a little whilem then get this, and you will be bored of it when black ops comes out (trade in time)

I've been told that in the MP there is nothing to stop people spawn camping and just blowing you away as soon as you reappear
