Picking up my new mk1 tomorrow yipeee!!!! been 3 months since my last. But not keen on the wheels fitted mk3's alloys. so looking around i spot these

does anyone know the make and if you can buy new or similar wheels.

They are piaa nakajima racing split rim alloys... I know cos I have a set :oldtongue: well thats what they were advertised as.

they are very rare to get hold of. am having them recon soon. will post images soon if you like.

Let me know if you find any. I'm after some for my MR2 as well, but am a bit pre-occupied with rust treatment/gearbox replacement/suspension replacement/BMW maintenance/motorbike maintenance/approach procedural course/building repairs/decorating etc etc! I really need to get organised! =/

the wheels i think look ace on mk1's are old school ones, love the bbs split rims, azev a, and borbet a and of course piaa

Mk1b White T-bar SC 1987, Mk1b White coupe Jan90, Mk1b White coupe Jan90 (spares), Mk1b Mica blue T-bar Mar90, Mk1b Mica blue T-bar,full climate control,Jan90, 5 mk1's :)

Are your mk3 alloys in good nick? If you decide to change them can I offer an amount for them :D

Cheers for the offer but will have to hang onto them until the money tree in the back gardens starts to grow again :D
