Like for like. IE I wouldnt pick a 1972 Ford Cortina over a 2009 Aprilla super bike.

But I would take an Atom over every bike. Every time for a race track.

I'd rather have the Gixxer, you cant wheelie an Atom!

lol. it could go on forever too  don't think you're on the right forum to argue 4 wheels vs 2 though

Or maybe his willy is big enough already without having to buy a really fast bike.

sorry have to say this is really silly

some like bikes some don't

in some situations a car is faster in some situations a bike is fast but as always the main difference is int he car /rider

i think that sums up the last couple of pages.. lets leave it at that and not start having personal digs :thumleft:

Nonsense: watch any TT video for clarification. I won't bother to even talk about the years of racing national 600's, and knowing exactly how fast a bike would be around any given track/corner.

As for being "right up his ar$e", that's just stupidity and no amount of justification makes that acceptable.

Then watch FIA GT and realise the truth

Why, is it full of standard MR2's out-cornering motorbikes?

Did you even bother reading the second page of this thread, where I quantified my statement as to why a car has more grip round a corner than a bike? No? Ah well, probably too busy necroposting for the sake of it I guess. And ust because you've done something for years doesn't actually make you any good at it by default.

Also, the term 'right up his ar$e' doesn't have to be taken so straight, y'know. It's more of a colloquialism than a literal statement, in so far as it meant that I caught up with the biker in a safe and legal manoeuvre that involved me using the laws of physics that were on my side. No need to get all sweaty over it sweetheart.

In that case you're correct, it's all fact and it all actually happened.

lmao, good one. But I was simply refering to the fact 4 wheels will almost always outtrack a bike especially on the twisties. If your comparing a 20 year old tubby to a recent sports bike with far more technological advancement then yes, it may be faster.

If the best car and the best bike in the world were to be created, the law of physics would make the car the faster of the 2.

Again, watch the TT, only something very special (and therefore out of the reach of 99.99% of us) will compete with the superstock bikes.

The facts clearly state the opposite, unless of course you're going to switch from an MR2 to an Ariel Atom halfway through the argument.

The facts you're using support the TT course which, by its nature, is a very specific place. Normal race tracks and even the 'Ring support the opposite side of that argument.

The TT isn't the be all and end all of roads. It's good, and some bits are fantastic, but there's better roads even on the IoM itself.

Look at the 600cc Superstock times around Donington, light years ahead of anything but the fastest 4 wheels. Or Combe. Or Snetterton. Or Mallory. Or Brands.

Your argument doesn't stack up, you're having to introduce highly modified cars to support what you've said, despite saying that "All 4 wheeled vehicles would be quicker than a bike".
