Been offered some super advans - Fronts are 205/45R16 and rears 225/40 R17 would this be a problem at all having different size alloys on the car.
Cheers

Overall wheel diameter would be the concern:
Front wheels: 2 x tyre wall height + wheel diameter
2x ( 205 x 0.45 ) + 16 x 25.4 = 590.9mm
Rear wheels:
2x (225 x 0.4) + 17x25.4 = 611.8mm
So looking at a 2cm difference so a bit of angle of attack, my wheel/tyre combination leads to a 3 cm difference and the handling is spot on.

So would it be alright then

The difference on my car is greater and it is fine. If you change the tyres (as you will over time!) the profile you choose, if it isn't the same, will result in a greater angle of attack.
My experience has been the setup has been fine on my car.
