i was wiring up my sound system and whilst screwing down the sub + & - wires into the amp i accidently touched live to the amp case and it sparked. since then theres no power at the HU and a massivly loud noise along with PAS whine coming through the speakers if the ignition is on. with ignition off there is a crackle through the speakers.

i elimitated the sub amp and it made no difference, same with speaker amp, so i removed the HU 10A inline power fuse and it stopped so im assuming HU????

none of the amp fuses blew, all car fuses are fine as is the inline fuse from the battery.

HELP :(

You probably blew out the mass line in your headunit and its now pulling its mass through your RCA cables. Its a common enough problem, get your HU fixed/repaired.
