hi paul , tuning is a personal thing really , based on what you want power related and your budget ! wait until you get your car on fri before making decisions ! you may just find it already has subtle mods in place. if the car is standard ?? then what will make a noticeable difference is an exhaust , de cat and turn the boost up a bit ! but before turning up the boost you will need to block off the pipe from the TVIS to the actuator.
what you could do is have a look through the garage and see what other people have done and use the search funtion at the top of the page to gain some info . look in the for sale sections for parts etc that you may want , if its not there then try a wanted post ! dont worry about where to start , once you have your car then its best going from there . you will be able to get almost any info you want from this forum and the members. post some pics up when you have your tubby

Shouldn't that be Toyota Variable Induction System?

I would (respectfully) suggest that (particularly if your experience is with FWD hondas) that any money you spend on tuning at the moment should go on a decent set of 15" tyres. Get a good bit of RWD experience under your belt before spending money on other mods: its easy to waste cash on modifications that merely allow you to approach the scene of the accident faster!

Once you have some experience on the car then another set of tyres, perhaps new dampers, exhaust, air filter, decat ,grainger valve+FCD is a good starting point.

Get some pics up then fella and lets have a look.
I'm going to echo the earlier point and suggest getting to know the car before even planning any mods. Once you do know it you'll be better able to decide what to mod and how. Also if it is indeed your first RWD (and mid engined) go carefully and tread soft on the pedal on the right.
Hope you enjoy it and wish you fun, safe driving. Great cars.
