REV 5 STEERING WHEEL! HELP ME!!!

Post by lemonyfresh »

hello again guys and girls :)
im trying to buy, even FIND, a rev 5 airbag wheel for my 2' and im having a bit of trouble getting hold of one!
The guy who owned my car before me kept his wheel and slapped a random one on there to sell it with :(
I like the stock look inside so id rather get the proper rev5 one (or rev 4? i think they are the same just without the red stiching?)

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ONE?!?!?

drop me a msg if you do!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the only interiors with red stiching the rev 5 BEAMS cars (sure they are). The wheels of the BEAMS cars are worth quite a bit more because of the stitching -that's about the only reason I can think of someone taking it off again as they could sell it and recover some of the cost.

No, both the UK & JDM rev5s have the stitching.

BTW. the UK & JDM rev5 steering wheels look completely different to each other. The UK wheel is virually identical to the rev4, while the JDM wheel is similar style to the gen7 Celica.

Id guess so. Wouldnt think that Toyota would bother making them different for different models.

I am a moderator for clubae111.com if you want me to ask about. :thumleft:

I also have a AE111 steering wheel for sale but its a non air bag model from a face lift AE111 and a little worn. You would need one from a pre facelift (post 97) so 96MY

EDIT: Late gen 6 Celica's used the same wheel also. As well as some euro AE corolla models from the same era

Found one on e-bay for £30 :thumleft:

I stand corrected Johnny! Maybe your comment with the UK / JDM was what I was thinking -it stuck in mind there was some difference of some sort.
