Due to massively changing work commitments and personal circumstances I can't keep this and a 'sensible' car... 
This MR2 has Cruise Control which is a Godsend on motorways and I have achieved 400miles cruising on a tankfull. Around 240 miles is my normal 'urban' range with a lot of boost.
I have had this car for around 7 years and it has been massively reliable.
My daughter lives in Wales and I visit Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on a regular basis. It has never let me down. Saying that, I have spent many an hour ensuring it has been cared for... i.e. oil changes every month (£50 a tub, times 12 = £600/year on oil alone!!). This car has never wanted for anything. Most parts are from Toyota if available e.g. leads, seals, bolts, gaskets, paint, etc..
Performance wise, this car will keep up with Ferrari F430s and proven 400+bhp MR2s
(up to ~90MPH) with natural ease. I have spent every effort in making sure it is stable AND reliable. It will eat most cars on the road today - the acceleration is awesome when the GT3071r boots in and the screamer screams. Off boost it is a gentle <ahem> 'civilised' drive.
The engine has NO rattles and has only had Mobil1 fully synthetic put in since its rebuild
~30k miles ago. A testament to the engine builder!! The body is rust free and has been garaged all its life in my possession. Chassis wise, it's stiff, but has no creaky bushes, springs, links etc.. NO rubbing wheel arches due to a painstakingly long hunt for PERFECT wheels - I dare you to find an MR2 with these awesome Japanese wheels on!! They were discontinued ~15 years ago, allegedly made by Hinodex of WORK fame.ENGINEForged CP Pistons

A lot of my (elderly) neighbours have commented on how they will miss the car and everyone comments on how good the car looks. To demonstrate what a shock this is to me - this month alone I have bought an expensive Calcium battery (£100), 2 new 225/40*17" tyres (£180) and a new wheel bearing(£100 (found out the noise was a bent stone guard ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall"){kind=small}
!!)). I have also just TimeSert'd the head to ensure the exhaust manifold is secure for a long time yet (what a job!!) and has had Toyota gaskets fitted at great cost.I'm asking £3500 or very near offer.Which is a bargain.
The budget for this car has blown that four times over!! I will listen to sensible offers too.The car will come with a brand new Fidanza FlyWheel and SARD 850cc injectors & clips to be fitted (was to be my next job) to ensure this drops the car into the 400+bhp category.I live in Nottingham near junction26 of the M1, so nice and central for viewing.
