[Mk2] [Turbo] New wheels (at last!)

Post by Slarty »

Well, after several months of owning the wheels, and a fair few delays, my freshly refurbished wheels were fitted this afternoon by Elites in Rainham.

Specs:

Algernon Intelesse 3 piece split rims.
Front : 8 x 17" ET42 with 3mm spacers, shod with 215-40-17 Goodyear F1 directional.
Rear : 9 x 17" ET43 shod with 235-40-17 Goodyear GSD3 Asymetrical.

Sorry for the poor quality photos but my digicam is deaded so I had to use my phone.

Before :

If my car had been black or red, I would have left the centres gold, but I didn't think they're look good on a white car:

Offered up to the car:

So, I had the wheels refurbished and the centres changed to black. Makes keeping them clean a bit easier too

Back from refurbishing:

And finally fitted.

And rear:

May not be everyones cup of tea I appreciate, but I'm pleased with them and the certainly look better than the scabby old wheels lol.

Hey Keith!

They look good! But honestly I like them more in gold  Black just hides the lovely design a bit imo!

Ah what do you know  The photos don't really do them justice, they do look better in the flesh so to speak. They just didn't suit the white colour of the car in my opinion. So shush  Plus I'm a very subtle person, hence the almost standard bodywork bar the rev5 spoiler ;)

Thanks Craig :) And yes, I do, but I'm not sure they'd go on without the arches being rolled and I can't be ar$ed doing that lol.
