Full set of drop links £35 on ebay - worth a punt?

Post by bluesmoke »

I'm very cautious about these:

I just don't understand how they can be this cheap but still be any good? Anybody ever had any from this seller?

These seem to be the same ones I bought a fewmonths ago (think same seller)
Seem spot on for me matey don't be fooled by the prices, for what they are, droplinks are stupidly overpriced, these just seem a "normal" price to me! lol

Well that will do for me Steve! I didn't know if there was any noticeable difference in how the car feels with them on. I am going to replace loads of suspension bits so I don't want to be putting poor quality stuff on if it won't be as good as new Toyota stuff, else I may as well leave the tired bits on.

Cheers :thumleft:

I've noticed no detrimental effects since fitting them, other than losing my friendly clunking noise I'd become accustomed to! You may find the rears slightly shorter than stock Mr T ones but it won't matter, ARB simply rotates around to meet, equal on both sides.

The toyota ones are silly money, most the MR2 suppliers take a set into a parts suppliers and find the nearest that are similar, and then supply those.

If you compare them to the Toyota ones there will be a slight size difference.

I cant remember which ones the mk2 used to use though, sorry.

If they are different, how do you fit them? Does the anti roll bar just tilt up a bit more?

Had a set of front of these on since Nov, no problems. I was also cautious about buying them too, a smart buy if you ask me.

More money for more fun mods \:D/

Uhuh.

Only thing is (and this is actually pretty obvious) to take BOTH the old ones off (or at least saw them in half) before fitting the new ones.
If you don't you might struggle a bit cos you'll be twisting the ARB when you fit the first new one.

Once both new ones are on the ARB will just rotate around a few degrees to suit.

PMSL, obvious = yeah!
Do you think people have tried fitting a shorter one with stock one on other side? Undoubtably!! lol Can jus picture someone sat there on floor trying to lever ARB round to meet!

Well I am going to be holding off on fitting them until I get a pair of Whiteline adjustable ARBs at the end of the month :D

Will I struggle to mate them up then? And will moving the ARB affect its performance??
