Clean Wheel Studs the Easy Way!!!

Post by JeffD »

If your anything like me although you love genuine 3 piece split rims the bolts are an absolute pain in the camshaft to clean!!! :-(

In th past Ive used a toothbrush with some Belgom but today I decided to go electric - check out the results for next to zero effort :-)

Apply some Belgom

Gently scrubeach wheel stud whilst the brush does all the work

For comparison the top 2 have NOT been done, ones below have

Finished wheel after dressing and a bit of chavvy lettering white (I know its just something I like - think I read too many of my brothers US custom car mags back in the 80's LOL)

Only thing I'd suggest is that I was using a cheapo £4 electric brush which if you held too close would stall so reckon something with a more powerful motor would really be the business - was actually a pleasure cleaning them which is the first time Ive ever felt that!!!!

You could try it but i mixed some water with my belgom as it had dried out a bit - a nice watery mixture works best

just put:

tyre white pen

in ebay and theres loads of paint pens come up - only cost £2-3.

I didnt do it with that tyre but to make life easier take the wheel off the car and you can drip the paint into the leter which is a lot easier/neater. I actually made a bit of a mess of that tyre if you look closely :-(
