That's VERY tempting, would seriously consider it myself if it hadn't ended #-o

Only 2 things put me off, why was it so cheap? and I'd guess it's crash damaged as it's got a UK rear bumper.

Although i am no expert i am pretty sure that SVA regs meant you couldnt import a REV5 N/A.

I guess that this is a UK Rev5 shell with a Beams transplant, but i could be wrong!!!!

I think regulations have made it expensive now but not impossible, not sure on that one. Thing is, this would've been imported before the new rules.

It's a pukka G-Limited, as it's a tintop (all UK cars are either sunroof or t-bar).

For that price I'd maybe put up with it - what I'd do though is inspect above the exhaust and under the boot carpet before deciding though.

Hi I bought this car and i may be selling it soon (that and my supra which is currently for sale (1996 Twin Turbo 60k)- its been a strange year!!) Anyway any questions out there i can answer. Any offers on the car - feel free - its very quick by the way. The bumper at the rear was changed as the car's last owner got the car with a very very large exhaust which would not pass the mot due to noise and of course attracted police attention to the car therefore exhaust and bumper were changed over. The cars engine is an absolute peach. The break calipers all have TRD stamped on them and there is a badge inside although i do not know how tuned it is. The suspension is ohlins and very firm and the car is very low(I only noticed this when I was washing it - I previosly had a 95 turbo and this is much lower). The steering feels like it has no power assistance but i could be wrong on this. Anyway I understand this is a rare car but how rare I do not know. How much should I sell it for?? Any ideas?

The first question would of course be...
Is it already UK registered on the road?

Sounds like it is... but there has been no direct reply to the questions raised above.

Don't quite understand the changing of bumper (which would've had to be sprayed to as UK bumpers weren't available in that colour) just because of the exhaust, unless it was another jet-powered MR2

You should sell it to me for £4K

Seriously though, I'm not sure how much it's worth, you did get it quite cheap though, you're sure not to make a loss on it :thumleft:

I'd offer £5k, if I had it....

The only thing that personally would put me off is getting parts for the engine....

£5.5K from me then :)
I was thinking about engine parts the other day, I'd assume that cambelt/tensioner/pulleys/waterpump would be the same as the UK 3S-GE? But I'm sure Mr T would just die if you took it to them and opened up the engine bay

If I wasn't so strapped for cash (which is a long term problem due to pish salary) I'd have my car in AutoTrader by now and would be speaking to lexsum about this one (upon inspection of the rear  ) :thumleft:

Yes the bumper had to be paint matched as the colour was not available on this mr2 in uk. It is a toyota paint however and toyota matched the colour their code. The car is registered and mot'd i have the v5 with its vin etc it is road legal. The engine is the beams red top engine and in addition the car has struts across font and back suspension. I think it was set up for racing as it does hang on to the road. I think I got a bargain but I am not that generous to pass on my good fortune. Due to change in my employment the car may have to go. I will answer any questions and take photos of any particular aspect of the car if anyone is seriously interested.
