AFAIK they are all now discontinued.

I tried to obtain some silver ones at the back end of last year and ended up aquiring some second hand ones...

They do occasionally come up on ebay and places - I might have some - what colour are you wanting?

Use a heat gun and a plastic scraper to get them off

What kind of site do you mean - website, building site - or did you mean sight ?

With fresh double sided foam tape, they should go back on no problem

You can buy extra thin double sided duck tape which is what I used - needed to trim the tape a little but excellent results....

FYI: There may actually be some of these still available, but are most likely sitting in Japan. I found a website recently, here in the US (L.A. based), that shows some are still around, but only a few pieces, in a few different colors.

The trouble with sourcing these is that I believe most Toyota dealers now show these as discontinued, only if they do not register in their country's distribution base. Apparently few, if any, have data bases that show what is actually availble in Japan as well.

When I lived in San Diego, CA a good parts counter freind would call up to the L.A. main distribution center and confirm with them if parts were still available from Japan or not. I managed to get a handful of parts that were supposedly thought discontinued. I'm in Seattle now and the dealerships here won't bother to do this.

If I tried ordering parts from other dealers (in San Diego), since the good one was a lot farther to travel to, and they said that the parts were no longer available, I also learned to ask again much later because often parts would simply be out of US stock temporarily, but then become available again later on. I know that I have bought a few parts that I have seen others state were no longer available, or that they had actually thought that they had gotten the last one of some time ago.

It's a tricky business.

The website I now check is Toyotapartszone.com. You'll see that they do list various side mouldings as avilable, but I don't think there are all of one color. The nice thing about this site is that they still have the parts schematics with which you can confirm the actual parts against, since Toydiy.com was forced to discontinue using the Toyota parts schematic a few months back.

I even saw some guy on a Japanese ebay selling a complete new set of dark blue mica mouldings recently that they had saved for quite some time, but for some reason they were auctioning off each side of the car separately. If you actually needed the whole set you might have had to pay an outrageous amount to guarantee you got the whole thing. :)

Oh, further FYI, Toyota made a special adhesive for attaching these mouldings, which I would think is still available. I will be checking soon myself, as I want to have a front wing repainted correctly and will remove the moulding when doing so.
