I went to toyota and they think its a cold start injector timer switch. bloody £100. Also ordered a ECU COOLANT temp sensor at £50

The Cold start injector timer switch is what toyota called it. is that same as u guys sed for Cold start switch sensor

i work for toyota as a tech & yep thats the right name for it :thumleft: the price sounds about right they used to be way more than that :(

Last water temp sensor I got from Toyota was £38 (they are £15 from camskill) but I get a discount on some parts.
IMOC-UK - the only club to win 'Best Club Stand' at JAE more than once, and twice in a row!

Its 89422-35010 retails at £39.91 + vat

cheers lads for all your help. i think its expensive but i need the sensors. sopose once i got them least i know there brand new.

good old ecu reset aswell. best way to do ecu reset is to disconnect batt???

Yeah that's my philosophy! Plus if it's giving you gyp it's obviously sensitive and significant to the running of the car so why not replace like for like?

ECU reset should ideally be done by removing EFI fuse in the engine bay and ECU-B (I think? maybe EGU-IG?) fuse in the frunk. It's easier to remove the -ve from the battery for a few minutes but that will reset your stereo etc.

yea replaceing both sensors and thermostat. are the thermostats easily ton change?
