rps are useless. mine was the RPS ProMax Full Face Organic. lasted less than 6 months and 1000 miles. [-X didnt do any track or drag days.

wouldnt buy one again. :pale:

Cannot recommend the Helix 6 puck enough. Lighter than stock, bites like stock and is currently holding over 600bhp. It has done around 2 years of use so far, 40 plus 1/4 miles, and town driving and is still as good as new.

I might be interested in your clutch Dazzz, I want to go for another re map soon with some bigger injectors etc, so aiming for more power. As good as the Helix is, I reckon over 700bhp will kill it!!

PM me details mate. :thumleft:

I recommend the osgiken unsprung twin plate :D slightly heavier than stock, easy to slip yet holds serious amounts of power! Very popular choice too.

Chris -Random question - what size injectors are you running ?

I think the clutch will be up for sale. The engine and box is being removed next weekend and the same guy is due to remove the clutch for me at the same time.

I've got a lot of pm's about the clutch, and a few people asking if they can have first refusal.

So, i think the fairest way to do it is if the bloke removing the clutch wants to buy it, i will give him till tonight to decide, ( 22.00 ) although it is still in the car and will be till next weekend.

If he decides not to buy it i will give the people, in order of their post or pm first refusals, however i will ask for a deposit to be made as some people are prepared to pay today.

If on removal the clutch is in anyway damaged, ( not including some wear ) i would refund the deposit, although i'm assured it is good to go.

If the dude removing the clutch does not want it i will set up a for sale thread and pm anyone interested.

I think this is the fairest way to go, i'm sure you all know how hard it is to keep everyone happy.

it has prob done about 5k now they dont like being slipped as they are not designed for that you can slip them for parking etc but you do get a squiling noise, the pedal feel is not to bad not as stiff as my old 3 puck helix clutch,the helix padle clutch lasted 30k with serious abuse when it let go on a track day :lol: so hope this does the same, they do say that with a cerametalic clutch the flywheel gets a lot more abuse, it came from a place that can not be said =;

I have just bought the OS one from Dazzz. My Helix will be up for sale. I'll inspect it once removed, but I'd guess it is still perfect. Let me know if you are interested. :)

I'm running an RPS clutch too.
I've been putting 470bhp through it since November-ish and it had maybe 3000miles of ~250bhp before that.
I've had no issues but it's still fairly young so it may not mean much just yet.

Got an RPS 450ft/lb. Its ok but heavy with a low bite. Probably go for something like Chris next time round.

Another vote for helix - UK firm, great service and great product.

You will pay more but it'll be worth it.

Got about 20k miles out of mine at 300bhp. Next owner had the friction plate replaced while the engine was out - good thing about the Helix is that you don't have to replace the whole thing. I was using it with a Fidanza and apparently that was still in good nick so all :thumleft:

They do need a bit of slipping in traffic/parking, but as long as you are gentle with the throttle this shouldn't give any problems. For all other usage just bang it in, it can take it!
