MK1 – 15” spare wheel tyre choice

Hi

I’m going to put some rubber on a spare wheel of mine, I know it’s only a spare and not really that important (except for the size & non rotation), but I would like it to have the following:

195/50 R15
V speed (to match current)
Rim protector
Obviously it can NOT be rotational being on the spare
A similar wear / grip to my current tyres – Toyo Proxes T1-S

Any idea’s ???? (no Lauren, I’m got getting one of those Lotus ones for my spare, that’s just silly money to leave in the boot)

Get another Toyo they're cheap as chips (www.mytyres.co.uk)

Can not get the same type of Toyo, they are rotational

I've got a Hankook Sport on my spare, but it's a 185/60/14. Are Eagle F1s directional?

I'm sure the V pattern will make it directional when you think about the water dispersal requirements, shame, I can not have an s3xy looking spare!!

It depends what your spare ifs for. Yopu can use directional tyres on the wrong side, but they just won't disperse the water in the wet.

If its just to get you home, whats the problem ??
