92 Rev2 MR2 Turbo - Lots of mods - Very clean - Now on Ebay - ENDS SUNDAY 15/11

Post by misterT »

Now on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0375641714

She's finally ready for departure.... :(

I've owned my 92 Rev2 MR2 Turbo for over four years and have spent loads of cash and loads of time making her the beauty she is today.

It was completely standard when i bought it and has 3 previous owners, 2 of these were father and son.

MOT is due May 2010 and she's passed first time every time.

Mileage is 83,000 miles and has been delimited and fully converted from km's.

When the body kit was fitted i had the whole car resprayed in the original colour Super Red 2, so the paint is only around 2 years old and still looks excellent. The rear bumper was not on the car when it was sprayed and has a few light marks on it, little scuffs, etc, but nothing major.

Now for the goodies:

Exterior

Rogue Rev 6 Front Bumper (modified to be flush along the bottom lip)
Neo's Toms side skirts with winglets
Rev3 Bootlid and Spolier
Rev3 Rear lights (Jap) and center panel (incorporating fog lights wired into dash switch plate - MOT Friendly)
Black Bonnet/Headlight covers/Engine lid/Spoiler
Private number plate
Storm single wiper conversion
Electric Retractable Mirrors

Custom Carbon fiber stereo dash surrond with metal switch plate. (switches are blue led toggle switches wired to IC Fan/Rad Fans/Rear Fogs/ and 3 spares wire ready. Black one in the middle is a variable resistor wired to the ecu for boost control. 0.8-1.2 bar
Seats in good condition - no rips or tears

Other goodies you can see in those pics are:

Other info:
The steering rack was removed and refurbed about 2 years ago.
Car has been serviced yearly with oil change every 6 months. (mobil only)
Only ever used high octane fuel, mostly Shell Optimax/Vpower

The last rr came out as 288bhp with 295Lb torque at 1.2 bar.

This was after fitting and mapping the Link Ecu so the final run was after quite a few bootings!

Ryan (2bar) said the intake temps were high due to several runs/hot weather etc and estimated that on a first run she would easily slap the 300bhp mark. I've not been on the rollers since so i cant quote a figure.

I'm sorry to see my baby going but the time has come.

Yours for.... £5250

Any questions please pm.

Thanks
Dean.

Just to add only known bad points are i think one of the front ball joints needs replacing as there's a bit of noise coming from the front and everything else is brand new. Must be one of them.

and the ABS light came on this morining, probably a sensor but i havn't investigated either of these.

As far as i know everthing else is fine, she pulls hard and fast and handles very well. :thumleft:

This car has been very well looked after and loved by myself and has some of the best tuning parts available for the MR2 Turbo. NO Cheap tat off ebay!

The engine mods have been chosen with speed, power and stability in mind but without compromising reliability as it has been my daily driver for over 4 years.

Any problems i've had during ownership have been fixed using quality parts and havn't returned. This car shouldn't let you down.

She needs another good home........

Also fitted is a Cobra CAT1 Alarm with windows up added. Comes with 2 fobs.

I have the installation certificate for this too for insurance purposes.

I also have a big folder full of receipts and paperwork that i've kept over the years. Should be proof of most of the cash i've spent over the years.

The buyer also has the pleasure of taking my MR2 Only collection, which includes all editions up to now. (bar one that i cant find at the mo.)

Lastly, any other MR2 bits i come across when clearing out the garage will be free to the buyer, or in the bin.

Thanks

Dean.

More info I forgot to add:

Cambelt was changed around 10,000 miles ago.

Heater pipes that run along the top of the fuel tank have been bypassed using the heater hose conversion that many people do.

Rocker cover gasket has been replaced using genuine Toyota parts.

When the head gasket was replaced lots of other parts were renewed too including: cam shaft oil seals, drive shaft oil seals, drive shaft gaitors, flywheel oil seal, clutch fluid, gearbox fluid, uprated clutch and new thrust bearing, Water pump, coolant flushed and replaced (Genuine Toyota), big end bearings, all the nasty hoses from hell, ecu water temp sensor, I literally spent over 4 grand on the engine and there's probably more that I can't remember but basically this engine should not give you any problems!

Now going on ebay.

starting price £3000, no reserve.

as i previously said, she has to go.

If anyone wants to make an offer over the starting price please pm asap and bear in mind that it would have to be a good enough offer to convince me not to auction.
