Annoyance with a certain workshop

Post by Mert »

Hi,

I have a bit a dillema, I recently had some important work done my 2. I had the timing belt and water pump changed along with some other belts and service part. All good for a days work and £353 of work.

Now my problem is probably common but I was told I would have an invoice sent out. Its now been a few months and I've contacted someone about it several times to get it done on the phone and msging but he does seem to just ignore me when he can.

Not sure what to do now, as I wouldn't be too bothered if the work that was carried out wasn't as important as it is to the cars history.

Just annoys me that something so simple cannot be accomplished.

yeah I like have the bills for the history of the car, it just keeps things neat and tidy. Can't understand why it's so complicated for your guy to provide it :(

Yeah I can't understand why aswell. If you pay for something then you expect a reciept, there's no excuse for it really.

Is the garage VAT registered? If not, they're likely trying to disguise their turnover to stay below the threshold. Try suggesting that you'll report them if you don't get your invoice.

It is an annoyance I grant you .... ask again for it and for it to be with you by a certain date and say that if not you'll create a thread in traders feedback. I'm sure they'd rather print an invoice than get poor named feedback on these pages.

I confess to only paying for big stuff (that I need a record of) once I've had the invoice now. Prompts paperwork quite well I find.

Oh and take your service history book along to ensure it's stamped on the day...

Invoice

Post by dbiagioni »

Lol, same happened to me with a well known garage on here.

4 pms after initially being told it would be sent and still no invoice.

Ask them to e-mail it to you as a suggestion and print it off yourself?
