Spag bol or chilli for us too - not too fussed either way :)

I can cook a mean version of either, as can Yana so we'll be happy to pitch in with that. Should be getting there c.6pm, perhaps earlier depending on bloody London traffic

Craig - really gutted you can't make it :( No chance of another loaner for the weekend??

Craig....all dependant on how much you want to get there of course...even if it is just to cook Chilli Con Carne for me....erm i mean...come along for the social and blag a few passenger rides.... 8-[

You can get the train from Thetford to Llanfairpwll
As per below:

Depart
1124hrs Thetford - Peterborough (Arrive 1224hrs)
1252hrs Peterborough - Nuneaton (Arrive 1408hrs)
1416hrs Nuneaton - Crewe (Arrive 1538hrs)
1549hrs Crewe - Chester (Arrive 1612hrs)
1626 Chester - Llanfairpwll (Arrive 1744hrs)

I (or someone else) can then meet you at the station and bring you back to the guest house.
You can then have a great weekend, drinking, blagging passenger rides etc etc,

Homeward bound on the Sunday, its actually easier. I will drop you off at the station.

Depart
1049hrs Llanfairpwll - Chester (Arrive 1221hrs)
1236 Chester - Manchester Oxford Road (Arrive 1332hrs)
1339hrs - Man Ox Rd - Thetford (Arrive 1756hrs)

Return fare for this is £90.70
This is pretty much what you would do in fuel to get there and back....
Its what i would do if i were in your shoes buddy. I know there are a few station changes but imagine the scenery you will get to see as you cross from one side of the country to the other. Especially into Wales. Awesome.

It's well known the circuit has it's own climate system that differs drastically from the nearest weather station.

We've been driving there in January in snow blizards along the A55 just a couple of mile from the circuit. But at the circuit it was clear, but cold.

Other times it's been sunny on the A55 and the circuit has been wet/icy etc...

But whatever the weather - it's gonna be awesome
The circuit offers a fair amount of wet grip compared to other circuits - just don't try church at 90+mph in the damp/wet like Jo once did with Cassie in the car... 8-[

I also just found a few pics from a previous IMOC day at Angers. It was the very first public day on the new circuit - not even the kerbs had ben laid:

Wet weather is what you want, much more fun and significantly reduces the cost. :+:

Well you managed to find the limit okay in the wet, so don't think you'll have a problem in the dry.

Yeah... I forgot to mention...

The road just ends there and then you're into the sea

Seriously though. that is the highest point on the circuit (coming out of Peel before dropping to Corkscrew and you can pretty much see the entire cuircuit from there, but best not look too long as there is an off camber corner on a downhill to follow

There is a spectator point from slightly higher up that gives awesome views too.

Remember we'll have professional motorsport snappers there too who take some breathtaking shots :thumleft:

Also you may all have received another email from Jonny in the week. It looks like there was a last minute day added for Friday. So if you get to Anglesey before 4:30pm go straight to the circuit and have a look around as we can't get into the cottages until 4:30.

We are staying at Cefn Cwmwd Cottages near Llangefni:

http://www.angleseybreaks.co.uk/1916/Ce ... eps47.html

I've managed to get earlier access - from 4pm now too :thumleft:

• There is a designated BBQ area (but I doubt we'll use it)
• Bed linen is provided - so no need to bring your own :thumleft:
• Central Heating (probably will need it knowing the area...) :thumleft:
• Off road parking :thumleft:
• Sorry No Pets permitted :-:
• Television and DVD player - Scott will be bringing Geeetaah Hiroh/Rok Bint :thumleft:
• This is a no smoking establishment :thumleft:
• Arrival from 4:00pm on the Friday only please.

I am not entirely sure of bedroom layout yet. Although I do know that there are no "single" rooms - only doubles & twins as it is family cottages. Rooms will be allocated on basis of payment received to keep it fair :thumleft:

Address:
Cefn Cwmwd Cottages
Rhostrehwfa
Isle of Anglesey
LL77 7YL

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... m&t=h&z=16

Directions:
Take the A55 Dual carriageway onto Anglesey heading towards Hollyhead and exit at Junction 6.

At the second roundabout take the A5 signed Rhostrehwfa and after aprox 1 Mile turn left onto B4422 and Cefn Cwmwd Cottages are immediately on the left hand side.

The cottages are about 15 minutes from the circuit. It's probably best to head back to the A55 and head towards Hollyhead. Exit at Junction 5. Take the 1st exit off the roundabout onto the A4080 heading towards Rhosneigr/Aberffraw. Pass Rhosneigr turn-offs and continue towards Aberffraw. Before getting to Aberffraw, you'll see the circuit signposted right off the A4080. Follow the farm road for about 1 Mile into the circuit. Careful of the speed bumps along the farm road.

Please be aware that the cottages are self catering.
We will be putting on a Chilli Con Carne for Friday night.
Peoples dietry requirements have been taken into account :thumleft:
If you want breakfast bring the stuff to make it. Bare in mind you will need to be at the Circuit for around 08:30am though :thumleft:
Please also wash up afteryourselves as we need to leave the cottages as we found them.
Don't forget to bring your own drinks for in the evening too.

Jo & I will be traveling up early(ish) tomorrow as we need to scout the immediate area near the cottage for Saturday food ideas and to finalise things with BaT and how the day will be run.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have online before leaving for tomorrow so if you have any questions, give us a shout on 0773 469 0340 (after 6pm) :thumleft:

Aaaahhh yes - nearly forgot!

Those of you not staying at the cottages, you're welcome to join us for food on the Saturday evening and console gaming madness :thumleft:
