[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone Fitted an ACT display?

Post by Jim Galbally »

ive just bought an ACT gauge/digital display after the car got a tad hot on a trackday the other day, id just feel better knowing when im pushing the IC a bit too hard.

Anyway, i cant think of any obvious places to mount the thing. only thing ive come up with is mounting it in the instrument cluster at the front in the middle (ie infront of the gauges sitting on its own)

anyone fitted this or similar and have any thoughts on a decent location? it has to be practical, not look bling... lol

yep fitted one on a old car, just like yours, good, but the sampling rate is too low and whilst it looks as if it shows the temp increase/decrease in realtime its actually showing you a "shadows of the past"

A electronics Whizz friend of mine made a real "realtime" one but the cost was prohibitive for me to warrent the out lay.

they look effing cool though!

I emailed Mike at R&B the other day as his gauge normally comes with 3m of cable but he said if I let him know how long I need it he can make it up for a bit extra.

I was going to have a go at fibreglassing mine above the steering column cowling
