I was worried being a tbar the centre bar wouldn't take the stress.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Now I've had some more thought on the matter
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
& taking into consideration what you say about the thing naturally wanting to end up sunny side up when past vertical.

I will now most likely remove the engine/gearbox before putting the shell on the rotisserie, I won't have the room to remove it when its on anyway so it might as well come out.

That will save some deadweight
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
& obviously the wheels won't be on either.

For the most part the car will be completely stripped while I get the refurb done, it is mainly to make life easier on the rebuild.

I imagine it starting/ending up complete on the rotisserie all bia the front
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
& rear bumpers,
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(now) engine/gearbox
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
& wheels.

As I was saying it will be a 2 man operation to rotate the car
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- even if it turns out a single person can do it
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
- it's still my pride
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
& joy!! I will also incorporate some sort of failsafe for the locking pins, should something go wrong.

Do you have the mr2 exact measurements? including the wing mirrors
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(folded)? I used to have a picture of one taken IIRC from the back of the owners manual with all the sizes in, but can't find it.
