Advice - Border or Toms on my SW20 Spider ?

Post by Spidey »

Okay, have just gotten Greddy side skirts (Perfect fit, thanks Gtech :thumleft: ) - now, rear looks way too high compared to the lowered skirts.

So, am thinking to go with either a Toms bumper or Border spats - any advice/opinions appreciated :)

Will try and get some topless  pictures later today if the weather behaves ...

allthough I'm normally a border fan I think toms would be the choice on your car as I think toms would suit the skirts nicely and also suit the whole car whereas I think boder spats would be to chunky

Can't remember this guy's name but was an IMOC member

He has Greddy Sides, Border front and looks like Border rear. I was thinking to put a Border front and Toms rear. My only hesitation on the Toms was whether it dropped it low enough to flow with the same lines as the Greddy sides.

yeah, I got the Greddy side skirts from Gtech - actually contacted him through Twobrutal but I think he's on here as well.

Fit and quality was A1 :) :thumleft:

Yep, that was mine :)

Conversion went great - only problem was that I supplied a so-called walbro pump. It just made a funny noise once or twice.

So, am getting a geniune Walbro from GTS Chris and am going to put it in.

Apart from that, which was my own fault was first time I dealt with Xxxx and found him very goodon price, flexibility and knows what he's doing :) :thumleft:

The black one ? yeah, very nice alright.

If I had the cash, I'd go for the widebody kit that CarBen Fibre Creations will be having soon.

Border for me anyday. Not keen on Tom's. Looks too standard for my liking. :thumleft:

yeah, much nicer with the roof off !

Looks like the vote goes with the Border spats :)

So, where is best to get perfect fitting Border rear spats ?

Not too sure on that mate, i've kept away from body kits as most of them require too much work and patience, and then there's the problem of paint cracking and imperfections etc.

However, i'm sure someone will come along to help soon. If not, make a new thread specificly asking about kits instead to get peoples attention.
