the time has come to sell my pride and joy.i thort id never sell it!


ive had to buy something with more seats and storage.




ive owned this car since june 2006 when i bought it off a nice chap on here.


i have loved every moment of owning it







ive upgraded


i have a stack of receipts for this car which add up to thousands spent over the years keeping her in good condition.

she has never once let me down.



ill try and list everything i can but im sure i will forget some things.

suspension,wheels and braking.




tein superstreet suspension kit(puchased 6/5/08 but only done a couple of thousand miles so as new condition)

TRD topmounts


motoria front and back strut braces

full high and tight prothane bush kit

reconditioned rear calipers

new discs and pads all round with toyota fully synthetic 5.1 brake fluid

goodridge brided brake lines

SPC EZ cam XR camber alignment bolts all round

front hubcentric 10mm spacers

kei D1(7.5j) 17inch alloy wheels fitted with brand new 235/40/17 bridgestone potenzas and new falken 215/40/17

new inner and outer track rod ends and leaking steering rack replaced with rev 5 steering rack with new gaiters(suppiled by gtschris)

full uprated intercooler with gts chris spal fan kit and shroud and crappy hoses replaced with thick 60mm properly fitting hoses(will not come off)

xxxx MBC set to 1bar(14.5psi).

brand new unmarked departure 2 style exhaust.


ignition system is new from sparks to coilpack and fitted with grade cooler NGK BKR7E sparkplugs


spare OEM dizzy car and rotor

gearbox is smooth with redline MT-90 and Gtschris solid gear linkage bush kit

clutch is new and only done a couple of thousand miles.aisin OEM cluch fitted.


newish battery under warrenty for another 18months i think(have receipt)

magnetic sump plug

turbo intake elbow replaced with samco hose as with turbo to hardpipe hose

bodywork etc

new OEM tbar seals(complete kit) from toyota dallas!

brand new freshly sprayed OEM front and back bumper


freshly smoothed and sprayed wing mirrors

choice of original toyota emblem or a nice one from a mk3 spyder!(not fitted either yet)

new windscreen

brand new clear indicators on the front with clear uk spec side repeaters with toblerones removed!

twin gauge pod with stoich gauge and boost gauge

uprated OEM fitment infinity kappa bass speakers.

rhon leather gear gaiter(looks fantastic in perforated black leather)

the engine has never smoked and sounds very healthy,it has been run on silkolene oils only with genuine oil filter and the oil has been changed at around 3000-3500 miles thats complete overkill but she deserves it.

i had 3S to give her a compression test back in march 2007 and the results were 12bar accross all cylinders.that might be a while ago now but shes only done around 8000 miles since then!!!.


she also had a coolent change at 64000 with a new OEM thermostat.

sparkplugs have been changed with the oil changes and the apexi filter(which looks brand new) is also cleaned then.


as you can see by the complate suspension system and steering over haul she drives very nice and with the tein adjustable suspension it sticks to the road like glue and a pleasure to drive.it can be adjusted to a soft ride like standard though to very hard for track use




the power delivery is breath taking,it plants you in the back of the seat and just keeps pulling.the turbo spools up almost instantly and pulls strong to the redline.it puts to shame my impreza wrx ive just bought.well the mr2 is running almost 100bhp more i would have thort.

cars with these bolt on mods typically see anywhere from 265 up to 300 hp.i run 1 bar boost but it will happily go to 17psi!! with the intercooler.


she is ALWAYS warmed up before driving and allowed to cool before turning off.


ride hight is also adjustable with the c-spanners


the gear box is great with only a slight notch to second gear(when cold and not all the time), its been like this since ive had her and its never got any worse in 3 years and never is any problem getting it in gear but i wanted to mention it anyhow.


the gearbox has redline mt-90 in it and will not need changing for a long time.i have a spare bottle you can have as well.


the cambelt was changed when the original owner from imoc bought the car so is due to be changed(every 3 years)

3S quoted 230 all in for this with tesioners etc and ancillery belts changed
this car has done very little milage over the 3 years ive had her as i live above work and was never used for commuting!

i belive the milage was 53k or 57k when i bough her and now its on 72-73k
a couple of bad bits(but not much)
EDIT.

the paintwork is excellent for it age.ive given it a good wax and polish today and it looks stunning the only issue in my eyes is the few stonechips and marks on doors.



theres a small bit of rust on the rear n/s arch thats been sorted but needs the paint touching up.ive been quoted 40 pounds for this.see picture

and a small area on the drivers door and a corner of the bonnet that needs touching up but its not rust just where i caught the paint.

the o/s wing has been resprayed but the white is not a 100%perfect match but its like 98% and not really noticable but i wanted to mention it

there are no dents

but it sounds worse than it really is she still waxes up stunning and looks fantastic.i get loads of positive comments about the car
