pw woodsport you are a bussiness man i understand where your comming from but the best advertisment is word of mouth, and your company proves this as you are highly recomended by a lot of people,
why not shame the rip off guys also gives the better garages more work thay call it rip off britain why do we take it.

That is exactly my point mate, nobody did take it, they haven't done anything wrong, nobody got ripped off, even if you or anyone else had accepted their quote and had the work done then later found out you could have had it done at half the price elsewhere is not relevant at all.It would then be your fault for agreeing to that price, not the garages.

There are even Mr2 specialists that charge a hell of a lot more for certain work than some others do on this very forum, yet people still use their services.... i think "shaming" a garage just because they gave a quote is just plain wrong.

he has hearing aids and can hear a little, he was born deaf and has communication problems he lip reads most of the time i used to work with him havent seen him in years ,
must admit that was the first thing that went through my mind why do you want a radio when your deaf. he said he likes the base 2 weeks later i was installing a 1000 watt amp on two 12"s in a ported box it was so funny seeing all his deaf friends sitting in the passenger seat giving him the thumbs up.
i have a deaf cousin so been used to deaf people all my life he was about 10 years younger than me at the time and cars always had nice ice in them suppose he didnt want to be left out, he had a renault 5 gt turbo this is how long ago it was when everybody had them. i was into ice at the time i had a ford fiesta rs turbo that had 12 speakers in it not much you do with an mr2 sadly. :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
she's all comming together nicely now after a fair bit of cash spent, not bad for just an n/a now for some body kit i think.

Just for the hell of it I phone Mr T for the job, guess what, no price as they havent got any info of how long labour wise it takes to do. I know there 240 for a clutch alone. So add about 8+hrs labour @ about 80-100 quid =

+1 for stainless creations ,they done a clutch and a timing belt for me ,,thumbs up .prob a bit cheaper if u shhopped around but it was worth the money .i mean graydon knows them inside out ,does a very good job ,picked me up /took me back to the train station and is a nice guy to deal with .bit of a trek but its totally stress free and u know its been done properly .i dont think theres many people who are mr2 specialists about here(glasgow).so thats where i would go ..well worth the extra /travel :thumleft:

I've replaced 3 clutches in mr2's and there a right pain!! not like the celica

The price you got is well high sounds like a toyota garage price.
