Hmm, innovative indeed... although he should have incorporated a massive carbon wing on top to take advantage of all that extra airflow up there :lol:

He couldn't find any Toms scoops ,so got the Halfords version instead

Mid Air Mounted Intercooler anyone? :mrgreen:

Maybe one of you big power guys should try it out, huge IC in their, Cut a big hole in the front for the air to go in and a big one at the back for it to go out and run the IC Pipes through the engine lid :mrgreen:


But to be fair its a good idea if you want to go on holiday camping etc with your MR2. All you need is some cheap Inspection panel covers to mount it to then take them off for your good ones when not in use :)

id agree. maybe its a huge air intake and i/c , it would get a huge airflow at high speed. :lol:

or maybe he hits a go go gadget button and helicopter propelers come out.

or it could be a jet engine..

or just some hand jockeys way of carrying more luggage in his car. id have personally just bought a cheap banger with a big boot to do the same thing.

as for fiting it to the engine inspection panels. there made of paper and would buckle under it. even there mounting points arent strong enough. only 2 screws if i remember right.
