just fitted a berk exhaust . and now i get more boost and resulting
fuelcut. its a rev 1 turbo us model.
any way to sort this ?, if i install a fuel cut defencer , where should the fuelcut be placed. beside the exhaust the car is stock.

You'll need an FCD mate. They're only 3 wires IIRC and can be picked up for around a score.
They wire in by the pressure sensor thing in the engine bay. Boot end, drivers side, little grey plastic box.

Yep you install a fuel cut normally come with instructions not difficult .

Its all in the instructions mate

With my old Rev1 I just pulled the pipe off the sensor and plugged it.
I did have an after market boost gauge.
Rough but it didn't seem to bother it.

But isnt dangerous to the engine using a fcd ?.
and what is the MAX preshure a rev 1 can take ?.
and how much stock ?

On the rev1/2 engine, removing the fuel cut is removing a safety layer. You have nothing to protect your engine from over boosting. If you are sensible and have a good quality boost gauge well positioned, keeping an eye on the boost gauge isn't as good as an FCD but it is what I did.
Fitting a Fuel Cut Defencer allow you to move the fuel cut higher up the boost range from say 0.7bar to 1bar, then when 1bar is reached, fuel cut kicks in to protect your engine.
With Rev3 onwards, a fuel cut defencer will change the fueling of the engine due to the fuel cut being controlled by the MAP sensor. FCD should not be used on rev3 onwards cars imo.
I'm not sure what standard cut is on rev1/2 but iirc, there are two different ecu's for certain rev2 cars, one has a fuel cut at 12psi (as rev1 has) and the other at 15psi. That could just be on the GT4 though, I'm not sure.
Max boost is very debatable. IMO, 1 bar is safe on a healthy engine but if your your a gambling man, 1.2bar can be run and 90% of people get away with it on a healthy engine but it doesn't leave room for any failure of components including bad fuel, weak spark, dirty injector etc.....
Hope that helps.
