Re: Seatbelt question
they are needed for mot`s are they damn
Re: Seatbelt question
Do you mean keep the original belts as well
???

Re: Seatbelt question
If you have suitably fitted harnesses you do not need the original seat belts as well.

Re: Seatbelt question
ive had a few cars with harnesses and had no problems with mot, thay just checked them like normal seatbelts ie anchor points and if the belts are not frayed.

she's all comming together nicely now after a fair bit of cash spent, not bad for just an n/a now for some body kit i think.

Yes

Re: Seatbelt question
i am surprised at that if it is true
i was always under the impression that if it had them fitted as standard it had to have them
fitted for the mot
it cant be true i am never wrong

why not just leave them in anyway?
what if you where just nipping to the shop or something? would you not rather use a normal belt instead of the messing about for a couple of minutes driving?

my car is me toy got other transport for popping to the shops

Re: Seatbelt question
The only thing to consider is whether you have a roll cage or not, if you're wearing harnesses you can't duck in the unfortunate event that you roll your car over and a cage will prevent the roof crushing your head

MOT wise I've never had an issue with harnesses and no standard seat belts fitted
