Looking for a Carbon Fiber MK2 bonnet

Post by projectprelude »

Hi guys

looking for a good fitting carbon fiber bonnet, either a regular style or a border bonnet.

The fitment needs to be proven to be good.

This is an ideal chance for a company to get noticed as you will receive some excellent media coverage in exchange for the bonnet

the bonnet is going on a freshly painted MK2 Turbo owned by the deputy editor of a very well known car magazine.

In exchange the company can expect to receive...

A plug in the staff rides section of Fast Car magazine
A plug in the full Fast Car feature of the car when its finished.
A plug in MR2only Magazine when its featured
The car will be at all the major UK shows (being that its this guys job to do the shows so it has to be)
and maybe in the Rated section of Fast Car (a section where they review parts for cars) this cant be promised though.

Let me know if your either interested in jumping on this fantastic opportunity of cheap advertising and great media coverage.

Or if you know if a company that can supply the bonnets please?

Thanks guys

Thanks phipck :thumleft:

As mentioned we deal with alot of carbon products for the sw20 but as yet we dont stock any bonnets. We are in the process of getting some in very soon so hopefully we will be able to help. The first bonnet will be test fitted to my car, as all our sw20 parts are, and then photo'd so you guys can see how it fits.

When is it you want the bonnet for?

Thanks
Ben

You should have just sent me a pm mate I dont really get chance to check into all the forums these days :)

I'm hoping that it wont be too long now till we have the bonnets, at a guess i'd say a few weeks till I can get prices and photos and another few weeks till I can get the first one. This might be able to happen sooner but I dont want to get your hopes up by saying it'll be quick then letting you down i'd rather be honest up front.

Alternatively if you find another bonnet that you think your gonna go for but arent 100% sure i'd be happy to tell you the technical in's and out's if it helps, not a good business move on my part I know but i'd rather you know what your going for than waste your money on some tat :)

Are these going to 'standard' carbon fibre bonnets or the border ones, or both?!

Please say border :thumleft:

All being well yes but dont hold me to that if we have any problems in the meantime it'll slow the process down, all I can do is keep you up to date as and when we progress.

Hi mate I have some more info. I can get you an OEM carbon bonnet made by Seibon for £455 + £25 postage.

Hows that for you?

Cheaper yes, better......maybe not. Remember you pay for quality so depending on what you want the bonnet for depends on your budget

It looks pretty good quality to me to be honest.

And I wouldnt be interested in paying over 400 pounds for a bonnet either, id be happy with that purchase, but thats me.

Its all down to choice at the end of that day mate which I understand, some people just want cheap which I get some people would prefer a quality product and then some other people would prefer dry carbon which is the best out there at £800 per bonnet.

Like you said its all down to personal choice
