Standard seat weight?

Post by mr2toby »

Hi

Does anyone know the standard seat weight for a half leather seat in a mk2 turbo? Considering changing mine but don't want to add weight.

Cheers

My Recaro Speeds actually weigh just short of 14kg (without any rail) so pretty much the same as standard seats. I don't buy them for weight saving though, i got them because they look damn good 8)

When you say the mk3 seats fit a treat do you mean with zero mods or do they need messing with...

There is a bit of fettling to get them bolted down, but nothing beyone the reach of the average guy. Used the method of using some Angled Ally.....there is a thread on it on teh forum.

Makes it fairly straight forward. Seats IMO are far more comfortable, and a lot more supportive :-)

Just getting interested in weight here...

Obvious question - if mk2 weigh in at 15-20kg what do the mk3 seats weigh?
