perished fuel rubbers maybe....

Post by korean »

are there any known pipes on the fuel system that perish?

the MR was parked on a hill all day today with a 3/4 full tank. then when i went out later, it stinks of fuel.

any ideas??

All hoses eventually perish, but I would have a look underneath the car and have a look at the fuel tank to see if there are any damp patches, look at the entry points for the sender and fuel pipes.

strangely, this is normal.

some people get it from time to time, nothing to worry about usually.
