Personally i don't mind what folk do with their cars as long as they don't slip a Veilside kit on them ( I might buy one and burn it one of these days just so it's one less available). I'm guessing that has lost me a few favours but there is only ons VS kit which actually looks good and it doesn't look like a VS kit -I just can't remember the car now, it doesn't look like a normal kit.

Without getting into the debate. I have no problem with "replica's" but I DO when they have (for example) Ferrari badges on them when they are essentially bolt-on kits. I would have allot more respect for them if they DIDN't have the badges unless they were kit kar very close replicas (stretched, welded etc) and built around the original lines.

Interesting, I see no problem with bodykits on an MR2 so long as they don't change it from an MR2 (and it's not VS obviously). But I would rather see other replicas based on an MR2 described as "kit cars" which there is no shame in at all. For me they should be desribed as (sorry).

I think something has been lost on this thread along the lines but images like that spacer make me take absolute fright and I condem kits which take these kind of things lightly.

I actually saw a real 355 today, after this thread it took me a while to work out that it was real and not an MR2

In Max Power this month, it mentioned a company that for £35k (!!!!) will build you a lambo Murcielago replica out of a mk2. anyone got any pics of that?!

alot of the time bodykits can actually make a car lighter because you're replacing a polyurethane item with a fibreglass one, but kits aren't my thing at all and i'd never buy a kit of any description for mine :)

might be a little off topic but does anyone know anything about the rear screens like that? If you do a youtube search for trd mr2 it should throw up a white mk2 with a rear screen similar to that (think it's a uk video, sorry i've not put the link up - i'm doing this on my phone)

only reason i'm asking is i'd like to do some aerodynamics but keep the car looking standard (ish) but the standard spoiler only alters the airflow between the rear window (off the roof) rather than make downforce.

I'm pretty sure the screen i saw didn't interfear with the boot like that f40 one would. Cheers.
