Re: So I have oil in all 4 cylinders. Work has been done failure?? Sad face

Definitely said in the manual to do 90 degrees extra turn.
I was supplied the gasket and stretch bolts by tcb parts.
A friend has looked at it and he has a garage and thinks it's the piston rings. But I still am skeptical as all four??

Re: So I have oil in all 4 cylinders. Work has been done failure?? Sad face

Yeah. I suppose it's possible that because it was sat for a while in the garage not moving or doing anything the oil rings got stuck. But all 4? That's some bad luck right there In regards to the head gasket being fitted incorrect. Nah I don't believe so all holes lined up. And wouldn't it be p1$$in...

Re: So I have oil in all 4 cylinders. Work has been done failure?? Sad face

I had a 3s-ge in which all oil control rings had seized into the pistons. Consequently burned as much oil as it did petrol. I don't remember compression test results but it burned oil like crazy. so all 4 went at the same time... okay so i think thats what has happened here. I dont think my work ha...

Re: Need to run the engine to get the MOT passed after a rebuild advice please

How does anyone do this? I bought an MOT failure... I have the car insured to drive to a fro for an MOT test. But my MR2 had a major oil leak and unburnt oil in the exhaust needs a good blow through. I want to drive it for 200 miles. But if I got pulled over what is my excuse? They will hardly buy ...

Re: Tips removing a rounded off seized nut or bolt. (video exhaust manifold bracket)

I have 7mm holes all the way through the stud, ive tried to extract but they will not budge. If you have managed to get that far then I'd try heating up the remains and then using an extractor like below on the remains.
