[Mk2] [Generic] On Ebay rev 2 front splitter

Just seen this, if anyone is after one, I 'm not a premium member so can't put it on parts for sale, it's not mine anyway, though I do have one spare, just thought someone might be interested only 5 hours left.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

LOL womens sunglasses colour, I lke that one.

I was thinking about buying another clock to convert to red, then just swapping them over, I was worried in case the one I bought turned out to hve green numbers and wouldn't work to turn red. But it's fixable then is it?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Still not got round to doing all this yet, but somebody mentioned, I think it was in another similar topic, can't find it now, that when they took off the filter glass the number illumination was green, not white. Are some clocks green and some white then? what difference does this make to the final...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fuel Guage sender unit question

Very interesting, thanks for posting that. Incidently, my guage is working ok, when I fitted the cream dials I got the needle position slightly out ( will sort it at a later date) it's now three digits above empty when the light starts to come on.

Re: [All] [Generic] Dash LED....I have found the perfect ones.

I was wndering if they might be too bright, what about putting a diffuser of some sort in the switch caseing before putting the circuit board back? a sort of neutral density filter inside the switchs. ( light smoke grey transparent plastic maybe) The two 5mm bulbs I have got red covers for instead o...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Just fitted Lockwood Cream dials.

Just a further note on this topic, I saw someone mention somewhere about changing the colour of the indicator arrows, but I can't find it now.

Has anyone any info on this please? Everything on mine is going to be red, these arrows are green.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Thanks for the reply. I haven't taken the clock out yet, but yeah, I know to remove the original filter, I just thought 3mm would be a bit thick.

I want all the stuff I need to do the heater control and the clock at the same time while I have it all to bits.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

That's what I thought it looked like 1.5mm,, I emailed trent plastics who I bought the sheet from and they don't do less thickness than the 3mm. The blue pictured above looks great, and they've all been on about using this stuff for£1.30 from Ebay, which as far as I can tell must be 3mm. I would jus...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Thanks for that Sketch, I had actually seen that, but 3mm seems a bit too thick, is that what everyone else has used? and if so, does the clock face fit back on ok with this 3mm stuff?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Nofearmadbiker, that job you've done with the blue looks perfect, was that the 3mm thick perspex you used? it looks a bit thick to me the stuff i got, the original looks to be only about 2mm if that.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Just got the acrylic sheet this morning, I don't think it's the right stuff, 3mm thick and it's deep red, not opaque, you can't see through it, not like the stuff in the instructions here.

Going to have to look for some thinner see through stuff, or has anyone got any left over? Red

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

I bought a second heater control and fog switchs from Larry93 on here with the intention of doing the mods to those then changing them over, but the heater contol is not as good as mine, has a few flaws in the plastic, so I'm going to just use mine. The illumination on the fogs is a white bulb, the ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

[Mk2] [Generic] Time clock, digital, illumination

Hi
Before I pull mine out and have a look, can anyone tell me if the green illumination is done by silicon bulb covers, thereby making changing it to red just a matter of changing the cover on the bulb/bulbs please..
