I had the same problem with mine for me it was a case of a damaged wire
The wire was black with a yellow strip all I did was and a new wire in from the alternator plug to the fuse box and all worked fine after that

when i did mine i spent the best part of a day to release all the seized bolts off the cat supports and i managed to remove mine with out removing the oil cooler but it was a very tight fit

so just to clarify any of the CP/JE/SRP/Ross/Arias Pistons with a Factory head gasket will give me a c/r of 8.5:1

and can any one tell me what my c/r would be if i used the wossner pistons
and what would be needed to hit 400/450 whp

i did have to buy a new lambda screw in type from http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ and exstend the wires to fit it tho

It was piston 4 that failed on a standard head gasket and I don't know what boost it was run at as I bought the engine as a non runner


As for the pistons I have bin looking at non of the adds I look at state what thickness of head gasket to use with them

Hi I am starting a new engine build and most of the forged pistons I look at have a cr of 9:0-1 where as far as I can see the standard cr is 8:5-1 so my question is can any one tell me if this will make a big difference in the way my enging will run or should I be looking at going lower with the cr ...

I was thinking about the ct20b but it is a rather old unit now so I would need to add the cost of a rebuild on top of the cost of the unit as well

ok minor update well my car passed its mot on wednesday so on friday i went about fitting the quad headlights i got off ebay and what a bunch of cr**e thay are, they dont fit wright and are a shody job so i will redesign them to fitt better and work wright as at the moment only the diped beam works ...
