Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dash lights like a Christmas tree!
OK, So I have had my alternator tested and it was reported as working. I have found the problem to my low voltage at the plug, it was corrosion build up and I am now getting 11.9, 11.9 and 11.4. I have a few lights on my dash, they do not come on until I disarm the immobiliser. I get a battery light...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 3 pin plug on alternator - 0v on one pin - where does wire go?
I have this problem in the alternator loom and I am about to bypass as suggested in this thread. Does anyone have a drawing of the fuse box, mine has no illustration on the back of the box and I can't seem to find a drawing anywhere. Also, how far into the loom does the breakage usually occur? I hav...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dash lights like a Christmas tree!
ok, it has to be the loom as I am getting 12V at the fuse box. Battery is dead for now so waiting for a quick recharge. Does anyone know which cable to bypass at the fuse box? There are two black and yellow cables I am not sure which one to use. I can't find a drawing anywhere and have no drawing on...

Voltage is dropping.
.
Suspect the alternator is incorrect.

Has anyone heard of an issue in the loom that could stop the battery charging?

Just had a multimeter on the battery, showing 10.4V and dropping under load.... I had the radio on in the car for a little while and then the bat...

All I needed to know.

I haven't checked the AFR yet, will do this on Saturday while it can be pulled into the garage.

Will look over the injectors and fuel pump also.

Cheers.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] N/A Running lean, turbo injectors???
I knew the 3SGE was good, but no air filter an not leaning out! Don't think I'l be testing that any time soon though. Looks like the pressure regulator is a good buy and I need to get the volt meter out.. Shame about the ECU not liking bigger injectors.. In fairness it was a rev 3, but why would no...

[Mk2] [NA] N/A Running lean, turbo injectors???
So I have a Rev2 import with no EGR and recently installed a Pipercross foam filter from a friends BMW to it. It's a large filter and you can here how much air is passing through in idle. The engine is running lean and is putting out a fair bit of heat, so rather than finding a normal sized filter l...

Minimum weight
This is my first post where I am not actually trying to buy something on this site... Yesterday while getting the sills weld on my Rev2, The guy doing the work asked me an interesting question... "What weight can you get these down to?" So Despite losing 500kg in rust (jokes) what have peo...
