Re: Just bought an MR 2
After advice again, sorry. How big a job is it fitting a new accelerater cable on a MK 2 turbo., have done a search and cant find any related threads. Takes me an hour. Up on axle stands. Remove screws from O/S of all undertrays. Unbolt cable from bulkhead inside the car by pedal. Release cable fro...

Re: bit more advice, buy a turbo.

Got all the spare bolts, screws interior/exterior second set of wheels for track days that ill need. Don't mind pulling it apart and using bits as it was not in good condit...

Re: bit more advice, buy a turbo.
Sounds like a smeethorpe gal :thumleft: Loud and proud, our lass. She has a strange habit of knocking the back boxes off cars, then moaning when I repair them, We had a 2.5 V6 calibra, she wrecked the backbox, so I fitted a scorpion twin cat stainless exhaust " a bit quiet isnt it " ](*,)...

Re: bit more advice, buy a turbo.
Thanks for the reply and help Al, We have a couple of imprezas as every day drives, I also have a navara 4 x 4 pick up, and four MGF;s (that our lass keeps beating my ears about getting sorted ), So thats not an issue. Bought the G limited cheap as it needs quite a lot doing, although it does drive ...

bit more advice, buy a turbo.
Guess I boo booed. After reading the replies in my original thread, it seems it will work out far cheaper to buy a turbo 2 rather than modify the G limited. So I am thinking do we sell the G limited or would it be worth keeping it as spares for the turbo, in that case realistic, how much will be int...

Re: Getting bored after 8 years
We have a couple of imprezas both NA, ones a sports special, total chav, tothers bog standard, good to drive in winter, but a bit unexciting when it comes to spirited driving. Neighbour has the sports wagon, even worse, at least ours look sporty. Was tempted by a legacy gtb twin turbo, track prepare...

Re: Rear subframe removal
The outer nuts came off the captive bolts fine, its the inner bolts that are the problem! I lowered the subframe to undo them, the os came out fine but the n/s rounded! Lol! So i was going to drop the subframe and tackle it that way! Any cures for rounded bolts? Its a 12mm so hammer on a 11mm? I ha...

Re: popup headlights wont pop up
thanks, i got it working so both move up and down, turned out it was a really badly weathered 5 point connecter, so i sorted that and they work, but nothing explains the other two yellow and blue (silver dotted) wires that are cut. the yellow and blue that goes to the motors arent the ones that are...

Re: Just bought an MR 2
Thanks again for the replies and help. Our lass drove it today for the first time and was impressed with it she said it pulled up a steepish hill by us very well and felt very secure and planted. Re: Just bought an MR 2
thanks for the replies, is it worth turboing it, or isnt it worthwhile, I wondered about buying a turboed breaker as a donor. I already read the tuning thread and it did seem everything is down to engine internal works. I assume members on here do track days, I am still finding my way around so bear...
