Its the noise inside the cabin which is too much for the missus , its probably the engine being so close to your back which makes a difference.

I dont have those lines on mine but have a bigger one down the centre of the box it looks like oxidisation or heat damage but just got the car.I'll be looking at mine over the weekend and will post findings

It may be quiet for an mr2 exhaust but its still blinkin loud compared to most cars haha

I had a 3 " turbo back system on my scoob and it was quieter than this by a long way.

search for db killers on ebay or visit your local exhaust place and ask them for a db killer (bung) to quieten the exhaust, usually u shove it into talipipe and held in with 2 bolts, otherwise only other solution is get a quieter exhaust Kinda thought that would be the case with the short exhaust. ...
